MAJOR INCREASE IN NRHA EUROPEAN FUTURITY ENTRIES

After the first deadline for entries for the 2010 National Reining Horse Association European Futurity, 99 horse-rider-combinations have entered nominated for the Open Futurity for a 21% increase over last year. The Non Pro Futurity has 56 horse-rider-combinations entered for a 27% increase over last year.

IMPRESSIVE LIST OF ENTRIES

The list of competitors is quite impressive with riders like 2009 NRHA European Futurity Champion Bernard Fonck, three time NRHA World Champion Open Rudi Kronsteiner, NRHA Open Derby Champion Kelly Zweifel, two time NRHA Non Pro World Champion Cira Baeck, NRHA Non Pro Reserve World Champion Tina Kuenstner-Mantl and proven FEI European riders like Nina Lill and Young Rider Chiara Bartoletti.

FUTURITY LATE ENTRIES BEING ACCEPTED

Late entries are still being accepted with a 25% late penalty now through Feb. 5, 2010. The penalty increases to 50% Feb. 6-19, 2010.

DEADLINE FOR ANCILLARY CLASSES – FEB. 1

The “Open to the World” mega reining event is scheduled for March 7 - 13, 2010 at the Kreuth facility in Germany and offers more than $250,000 in added money. Besides the Futurity classes in four levels, there is a full slate NRHA Show. The deadline for these ancillary classes is approaching fast: February 1.

Altogether, there will be competitors from 14 nations: Germany, Italy, Belgium, The Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Sweden, Austria, Australia, Canada, the United States, France and Poland. The event is judged by six international judges: Jim Kiser (USA), Ed Cridge (USA), Rick Lemay (SWE), Eugenio Latorre (ITA), Ralf Hesselschwerdt (GER) and Jan Steffl (ITA).
